sarms pctAre you concerned that you need Post Cycle Therapy after a cycle of SARMS? What is the best SARMs PCT? We’ll take a look at some of the common side effects of SARMs and determine what the proper PCT regime would be.

What are SARMs?

SARMs have soared in popularity over the last few years. This is because SARMs, or selective androgen receptor modulators, can cause massive increases in muscle size, strength, and endurance. Many athletes and bodybuilders are turning to SARMs to help achieve their fitness goals.

For the most part, SARMs have very few mild side effects. They don’t have some of the common side effects associated with anabolic steroids but there is one side effect, in particular, that is a little bit more difficult to recover from.

See most side effects, like blurred vision, go away when you stop taking the SARM. However, SARMs can shut down your natural hormone processes. This can be troublesome and usually, these hormonal processes won’t just restart quickly on their own.

Do You Need PCT for SARM Cycles?

While the body responds to some SARMs differently than others, there has been evidence to suggest that many SARMs can shut down the natural production of testosterone in the body. This has something to do with the way SARMs attach to androgen receptors that can cause the body to stop producing testosterone on its own.

The effects of testosterone suppression from SARMs don’t seem to be as pronounced as you would see from many anabolic steroids, but the hormones are still suppressed. The body may recover naturally if given enough time but for most people, it is recommended to take a PCT supplement to get the hormone processes in the body running smoothly again. It could take months for the body to naturally recover from hormone supression without proper PCT.

PCT Supplements for SARMs

We mentioned that SARMs can shut down testosterone production in the body but how can you help to jumpstart that process again. Since the shut down from SARMs is said to be mild, you may want to try a PCT supplement first. These supplements are safe and legal. You generally start these SARMR PCT supplements right after your SARM cycle ends and run them for about 30 days. That should help to jumpstart your natural testosterone production again.

What if a PCT Supplement Doesn’t Work?

If you try a PCT supplement and still have symptoms of hormone shutdown, then you will have to take more drastic action. This includes running a post cycle therapy regimen that is most commonly used after anabolic steroid cycles. Typically this consists of the use of two main drugs Nolvadex an Clomid.

Nolvadex or Tamoxifen is a popular post cycle therapy method to restart your natural hormone production. It’s not available over the counter. You need a doctor’s prescription to obtain Nolvadex or you can find it on the black market. A typical PCT regime with Nolvadex is a dose from 10-40mg per day for between 2-4 weeks. Typically the doses start higher and then are slowly backed off each week until the cycle is over.

Clomid or Clomifene is probably the strongest PCT drug there is. It was designed to increase fertility in women and is often used in men for the same reason. A typical PCT dosage of Clomid is between 20 to 50mg per day for 2-4 weeks. It’s not recommended to exceed 50mg per day as Clomid does have negative side effects. Typicall you will start your PCT at a higher dose and taper down. For example week 1-2 50mg per day, weeks 3-4 25mg per day.
